Lightdm vs Slim

Раньше использовал lightdm, после ввода пароля всё загружалось практически моментально. Сейчас решил поставить slim, всё нравится, но после ввода пароля ещё приходится ждать минимум полминуты чтобы появился рабочий стол. Не знаю даже как сформулировать вопрос, но мне это не нравится.

А у нас зато эти полминуты переезжают на запуск Lightdm. Так что в итоге никакого выигрыша.
Воспользовавшись случаем, спросим: как заставить DM показывать себя только на одном мониторе из связки TwinView, а не ровно посередине между двумя?

Да всем нравился, просто решил что попроще поставить. Причём когда я ставлю на убунту (на этом же компе) и на другой комп с дебианом - он запускается мгновенно. А на моём такая вот лажа. Причём если включить комп, и не сразу данные вводить, а подождать эти полминуты, то потом грузится сразу же после ввода пароля.
Логов много, какой именно файл? Когда и что смотреть? А то я по логам не очень шарю.

qupl, я так понимаю, что между 25.312 и 129.258 - задержка Randr, аж целых 102 секунды. а получение EDID начинается на 129.258 и заканчивается там же, меньше чем за секунду, не? То ли Вы, то ли я неправильно читаем логи

В случае Slim нужно отредактировать используемую тему.

Я сбросил в качестве образца измененную тему Slim на http://rusfolder.com/36029712 . Она должна работать (у меня во всяком случае работала, когда я использовал Slim), однако скорее всего потребуется подобрать фоновую картинку в соответствии с разрешением экрана. Не изменяйте ее название.
