Зависают торрент-клиенты при проверке данных

А если и отвисают, то скорость проверки ~500-800 мб\час. Перепробовал уже с десяток клиентов, разницы практически никакой. В чем может быть причина?

В ошибках файловой системы. К тому-же, под Linux нет десятка клиентов, их штук 6 всего, не мутите воду.

Согласен что тут не все хорошо, но почему тогда проявлятся только в дебиане?

возможные проблемы:
а. баг ядра
б. проблемы с кабелем
в. диск  умирает.

учитывая что под бубунтой этой проблемы не было, можно исключить последние два предложения. решение:

Put "options libata noacpi=1" on /etc/modprobe.d/options

Тему по той ссылке читал, там немного не то...
А вот с Вашим решением пока заминка - в папке /etc/modprobe.d нет файла Options.
Создал его, вписал туда строку, разницы почти не видно - скорость проверки ~1ГБ\час, то есть разницу можно списать на погрешность.
А не может быть что проблема в том, что диск ext3, а ось в ext4?

До груба не дошло, так как после перезагрузки перестал читаться жесткий диск. Выключил, запустил Акронис - все на месте. Решил что сам что то накосячил, переустановил систему - диск не монтируется. Сейчас сижу с убунты и, как говорится, радуюсь жизни. Возможно проблема была в самом дистрибутиве (скачивал с торрента, а не с оф сайта). А вообще - дебиан понравился, скоро отпуск, вот тогда и займусь настройкой вплотную.
