Здравствуйте ув.форумчане.
Есть ноут Fujitsu-Siemens S4542,древний(ориентировочно не позднее 2000г выпуска),но хорошо сохранившийся аппарат.Он имеет несколько специфическую матрицу(конкретную модель,программными методами выяснить не удалось,а разбирать и смотреть лейбу проблемно,т.к пластмасса от времени пересохла и защелки при разборке 100%-но "посыпятся")расчитанную на работу под виндос 98-2000.Специфика в том,что при разрешении от 800х600 и менее,изображение развертывается не на всю площадь матрицы,а в окно по центру 12" дюймовой матрицы.Для использования всей площади,нужно выставить максимальное для этой матрицы 1024х768,при этом максимальная цветность не может быть более 16 бит.При цветности в 32 бит,разрешение автоматически понижается до 800х600.Вертикальная развертка указана открыто-60 Гц,а вот горизонтальная и тактовая частоты не известны.
Помимо винды,установлен дебиан,однако использовать всю полезную площадь матрицы в этой ОС у меня не получается.Простейшее решение через xrandr не проходит,т,к говорит-нет такого мода).Создание и модификации xorg.conf, также к желаемому результату не привели...Несуществующий мод был сгенерирован одним из вэб-генераторов(при указании доступных параметров,взятых из xorg.log),однако при этом он ругнулся,указывая на то,что частота горизонтальной развертки(24.3 кГц) ниже минимальной в 37 кГц.
Если одна из частот(вертикальной или горизонтальной развертки)отклоняется от ВСЕХ частот модов(как было и в вышеуказанном случае),то иксы на загружаются вообще.Максимум,что мне удалось добиться-указать "стандартную" для матриц с подобным разрешением,частоту горизонтальной развертки в 48.4 кГц и тактовой 40-50 мГц,при этом,"картинка" растянулась полноэкранно только до половины площади,с изображением,вытянутым по-вертикали.В таком режиме,система работает 4-5 сек и "вырубается"...Интересно, что в логе этот эксперимент никак не отображается).

gtf 1024 768 60, только список опций использования xrandr выводит.

qupl, ferum, Первая команда ничего не дала,а вот вторая,вывела нужные частотные данные,которые были прописаны в xorg.conf и все срослось!
