Просто я так долго и тщательно собирал вот именно эту систему... Вы себе не представляете (меня уже скоро жена из дома выгонет)... Обидно, что она всего-только неделю прожила...

А могли бы Вы, пожалуйста, подсказать пошагово, как всё правильно сделать?.. На сАмом-то деле, я почти что... чайник...

Как выполнить chroot я вам могу подсказать. Что до ошибки, то вы могли бы и сам нагуглить по ключевой фразе: "Communication error with launcher. Exiting!".

привет если тебе еще актуально то похожая проблема была у знакомого там все удалось решить установкой новой версии кед. такой баг был характерен для кед 4,6*-4,7*  в 4,8 и тд вроде писали что ошибка исправлена, но давно не пробовал так что наверняка сказать не могу. сейчас если не ошибаюсь 4,12 актуальная попробуй ее поставить

Поставьте ему линукс, если он снова сможет сидеть в играх значит через год другой родится новый сисадмин))))

Приветствую всех (еще раз) и хочу поблагодарить за помощь... А также отписАться по результатам...

Искал я тогда долго и нудно решение своей проблемы по указанным векторам направления... Но всё было как-то... не мое... Вроде, как бы, и то, но всё-таки каждый раз - нет, не то... В итоге, так тогда ничего и не добившись, я решил плюнуть и забить на всё это дело, ну и просто переставить систему... Эх... Тогда-то и обнаружилась причина всех моих бед: У меня переполнился системный диск... Вот так... Всё было просто элементарно, до безобразия... Все 80 GB диска оказались забитыми напрочь... Причем более 40-ока GB из них - занимала как раз таки директория (или папка, или... как там правильно) /var...
Отсюда новый вопрос: Как var'у не позволять разростаться до таких безобразных размеров, чтобы впредь не допускать больше подобных, извините, геморойев?..

смотря что там занимало основное место. логи по дефолту тоже туда пишутся, как вариант нужно настроить логротэйт или вручную чистить логи.

Там не только логи, там и кэш пакетов apt, и много чего ещё. Надо было поискать конкретно, что много места занимало.
