Доброго времени суток!

При запуске системы вместо графической оболочки чёрный экран с белым курсором в левом верхнем углу.

При попытке запустить иксы командой startxсистема на что-то ругается и посылает в лог файл /var/log/Xorg.1.log

Я новичок, и еще во многом не разобрался, в том числе и с X-сервером. Подскажите в чём ошибка и по возможности её решение.

покажите dmesg
попробуйте CTRL + ALT + Fx (где x, номер функциональной клавиши от F1 до F11)

Я только скопировал всё что было в файле /var/log/Xorg.1.log
Если Вас привлёк смайлик, то там просто оказалась восьмёрка рядом со скобкой 8 )
